Have you ever randomly walked into a pub to see 6-7 people with their string instruments out playing an Irish tune? Unfortunately, no one would dance with me.
I had one important thing on my to do list while back in Cali.
1. Get drunk and then have La Vic’s because I just want my damn burrito!

Thanks Jay and Mary :) Last night was epic in its own way. Even though I’m the only one who didn’t walk away from last night quotes.

Today, friends and I drove up to San Francisco to kick off our long weekend.
For the first time since I’ve been back in the Bay, the weather was absolutely gorgeous. Fearful that this wouldn’t be the case, I dressed in black tights. aahh oh well. The 2 miles we walked weren’t uncomfortable despite this poor decision. I got to check out the SF Google office and had there not been cameras around, I’m almost certain my friends would have had the time of their lives on the slide. The ferry ride to and from Sausalito was the first time I was not seasick on a ship. Our cab driver in Sausalito had great stories from his stoner days. I enjoyed Mango Malibu ice cream from Lappert’s and earlier that day at the Farmer’s Market in the Ferry Building, I had a delightful organic strawberry lemonade and a very mediocre Thai Avocado Hummus Wrap (lettuce) that just didn’t seem very Thai at all.
This evening, as I got ready to take a shower, I looked at my face in the mirror for the first time since I left my friend’s place at 10 in the morning. It’s a lovely shade of orangey-red. My chest is an even more vibrant shade of red. I hope this goes away by the time my cousin’s wedding rolls around next weekend.
eh.
Still worth it :)

Over lunch, Shar and I discussed how we can’t believe we’re 24.
Now, for you older people out there, don’t start with me. We’re not idiots, we know that 24 isn’t old. You just can’t deny that when you’re young, you long to grow up quickly only to then ask yourself where has all the time gone.
On the drive back, we both said we had no idea what happened to year 23. For us, year 23 felt like a filler year, for lack of a better term. We can’t remember actually being 23, just that it happened sometime between 22 and now.
I know a lot of important things happened during year 23, but if you were to ask me about them I’d have 0 insightful things to say.
Working hard to make sure 24 isn’t the same way.
P.S. I thoroughly enjoyed my salad at Sweet Tomatoes. Please open up in Hawai’i or the Philippines, please.
