Wet rainy Sydney summer.
On the walk to work this morning, I slipped and fell on the corner of the sidewalk. I caught myself with my left hand before I completely planted my butt on the cold wet pavement, but not before a handful of pedestrians caught sight of my stumble.
Thankfully I caught myself before I planted right into the stream of water running along the crevice where the road hits the sidewalk.
Thanks to the very nice man who asked if I was alright and didn’t linger long enough to watch my face go hot with embarrassment.
My left hand burns a little.

To be quite honest, up until last week Wednesday, I don’t think I’d ever heard of Daniel Merriweather. Then the opportunity to go to his show here in Sydney came up and so I did some Internet-ing. Yes, I turned into a verb. You can do that to more words than just “Google.”
