I'm a lucky girl.
A thoughtful gesture arrived at my office this rainy afternoon.
I can’t stop smiling.

Still Faithful
A heartbreaking loss was suffered by all 49er faithful in today’s game against the New York Giants.
I’m pretty sure I said no more than 5 words the 2 hours after the lost. I looked grief stricken to all who happened to be at the pub.
It sucks. My heart feels like it’s been ripped out of my chest. T-H-I-S close to a Super Bowl and it slips out of our fingers.
But, as my brand...

SOPA and PIPA
I was blissfully unaware of the legislation going through the House and Senate back in my home country until last night when I tried to go onto Wikipedia to try and teach myself cricket.
You see. It’s cricket season here in Australia and while I tried to learn about it last year and failed miserably, I’m determined to not suffer the same fate this season.
So I went to Wikipedia...

Australian Hip Hop
I’m being educated because most of everything I’ve listened to thus far has been not so good.
Drapht - Jimmy Recard
Drapht proposes a great question- If I had a different name, would my life be different?
I often wonder what could have been different if my Mom had named me what she really wanted to name me and wasn’t such a pushover and let other people choose my name. Good...

Embarrassing.
My phone auto corrected my mishap typing of ‘live’ to ‘lovemaking.’
I hope to live this down within the next decade.
What a day.

Sydney Jewish Museum
On the corner of Darlinghurst and Burton in Darlinghurst sits the Sydney Jewish Museum.
Today, thanks to a free ticket from a friend, I had the pleasure of taking a look at the various exhibitions and pieces of Jewish Australian and Holocaust history.
No photos are allowed in the museum, but I can tell you the exhibits are very emotional and moving. I learned a great deal about the Jewish...

Today, I just really need beautiful music.
This a capella and acoustic version of Bon Iver’s For Emma is currently at the top of my beautiful music list.
Shame on me for missing out on tickets to all of Bon Iver’s Sydney and Melbourne shows.
If anyone has lawn seats they want to sell for the Melbourne show in March at Sidney Myer Music Bowl- holler, please.

Texts From Today: He did not answer my question.
M: Just wanted to say I find you very attractive. If I got to know you, I would invite you over for a romantic dinner and as soon as you arrived, I would pull you close and whisper in your ear "I have a swanson tv dinner in the freezer with your name on it" and then I would proceed to fill a wine glass with welch's grap juice
M: Read that on a forum and made me think of you - have a great day!
Me: What forum are you on!

Happy New Year
Current Location: Gate 54, HNL
Awaiting to board my 10.5 hour flight to Sydney, Australia. I will be purchasing a digiplayer. Hopefully January means new programming.
My last look around this waiting area has confirmed that there are no solo male passengers that I find attractive. Also a bird just flew into the gate waiting area. These are just the games I play to keep myself distracted from...

You’re a doll. At least that’s how you make me feel. After I’ve had 1, 2, maybe 3 of you.
Good drinks, food, and company. Catching up with friends, acquaintances, and new people.
Another great evening at Ryan’s.

Even Toby is in the Christmas spirit.
Actually, he fought me on a Santa hat, so we’ve settled for a festive ribbon.

Sydney city sidewalks are slippery when wet.
Wet rainy Sydney summer.
On the walk to work this morning, I slipped and fell on the corner of the sidewalk. I caught myself with my left hand before I completely planted my butt on the cold wet pavement, but not before a handful of pedestrians caught sight of my stumble.
Thankfully I caught myself before I planted right into the stream of water running along the crevice where the road hits the...

Is this how awkward teenagers from the UK live?
I caught this movie last night: The Inbetweeners Movie (2011) http://imdb.com/rg/an_share/title/title/tt1716772/
It was gross, cliche heavy, predictable, had me covering my eyes at least once every 10 minutes, and had me laughing for nearly the entire film. Aside from when I wanted to vomit, of course.
For an $11 movie (yay for tight ass Tuesdays) it was money well spent.

Monday's outlook
is positive, because I say it has to be. Knot in stomach be damned- I am going to have a great day.
1. I may be losing one really cool roommate, but I am gaining another one that is jus as awesome.
2. I will have a new landlord regardless of whether I move houses come February.
3. 16 days until I am in Melbourne.
4. 18 days until I fly home.
5. Yes, it may not seem at all like summer weather...

The trick
is to think of things that are happy or look ahead to things that are more positive in order get through the times you feel incredibly defeated.
Currently fighting off the desire to move to another country by reminding myself that it’s already Wednesday, pilates is tonight, the first day of summer is tomorrow, and only 23 days until I visit home.

You know when you have so much to do that you’re in denial of how quick time is going?
I’m there.
Example- last week, I thought every day was Tuesday.
It really made keeping appointments in order a struggle.

Kangaroo and Beer, or I'm pretty sure this makes...
Thursday nights seem to be the week night to be out in the city. Particularly if you work the typical 9-5 or in my case 10-6 and night hours.
This most recent Thursday, I decided to join in the fun and headed down to Redoak for the first time. This boutique beer cafe wouldn’t typically be something I stop at, considering how I don’t drink beer, but I heard they do a mean kangaroo.
